Mark Bachman is an independent Baptist missionary-pastor and the father of thirteen children. Until recently, Mark served the Lord in Germany, along with his wife Cassie, starting in 1989. While his work among the Germans never grew large, his ministry was singularly blessed of the Lord with hundreds of foreign refugees saved and baptized, including nearly two thousand of those converting from Islam. Mark was born in Michigan where he received Christ at an early age and where he surrendered to preach. He moved to Indiana in 1976, when his father, James Bachman, accepted the pastorate of the Roanoke Baptist Church. From 1982 to 1986 Mark was a student at Hyles-Anderson College. After graduation, he pastored in the States until his marriage to Cassie in 1989. Less than three months after their wedding, Mark and Cassie were in Germany, where they served the Lord together the next twenty years.. Mark’s sister, Vicky, and brother, Jack, both serve the Lord in full-time Christian service. Vicky teaches in the Roanoke Baptist School and Jack pastors the Calvary Baptist Church of Memphis, Tennessee. While pastoring on the field, Mark was in constant demand as a public speaker. It has been his privilege to preach in many countries of the world and in some of the finest independent Baptist churches and Bible colleges in America. Mark is also a teacher and author. He has developed his own curriculum for college level classes, including Old Testament and New Testament Survey and has just completed Preaching the Word, a two-volume Homiletics curriculum that is being used in some outstanding fundamental colleges. He will soon be working on a two-volume Bible Doctrines curriculum. Mark has written six books and has an additional twenty-four books outlined on his computer. His first book Dare to Look Inward is a somewhat introspective synopsis of fundamental churches and the doctrinal questions that trouble them. The book is over 500 pages long and references about 2,000 Scriptures. Mark’s second book Winning Muslims to Christ is thirty-five chapters in length and explains the thinking of Muslim people and how to win them with the Gospel. Winning Muslims to Christ is being used as a college text book on every inhabited continent. Mark is also the editor of “Stirring You Up,” and overseer of “Word of God Ministries.” |
