The summer has flown by at Hyles-Anderson College. We started out with six weeks of summer school highlighted by a class on Biblical Character Traits taught by Pastor John Wilkerson and Bro. Keith Cowling. There were a total of twenty-seven different classes offered this summer. Many of our students were able to accelerate their education at the affordable price offered the summer school sessions.
Hyles-Anderson College Online has had a great summer as well. With over 350 enrolled students, our online college has provided Hyles-Anderson College education to students all over the world. For more information about Hyles-Anderson Online, please visit our online college website.
Now that the 2015 Get Smart Youth Conference is behind us, we are spending the last final weeks to make some upgrades and improvements to our campus.
This fall we will open a newly-remodeled men’s residence hall. Tom Malone One will house thirty-five young men in furnished rooms with completely updated amenities.
The Student Recreation Center is also getting a facelift this summer. This upgrade includes new carpet, lighting, furnishings, game tables, and recreational equipment. The Student Recreation Center is a favorite place for our students during their free time. The “Rec Center” features board games, ping pong, air hockey, pool, and foosball tables. Many live, televised sporting events are shown in the "Rec Center."
We are also working on many infrastructure upgrades that most people will not even see. Several heating and air conditioning systems are being upgraded, outdoor lighting has been added all over the campus, roofs are being replaced or repaired, new windows are being installed in several areas, and several classrooms are receiving upgrades in technology and appearance.
We are very excited about what the Lord has allowed us to do this summer on the campus of Hyles-Anderson College.
