Music Education (Men)

Click here to view Music Education (Ladies)

This course of study is designed to train future teachers in the field of music for the Christian school. The Music Education Major places an emphasis not only on a quality music education but also on the student’s development to clearly communicate those principles and inspire others to reach their full potential.

The Music Department of Hyles-Anderson College offers instruction in a variety of subjects including music education, philosophy, music theory, conducting, composition, and orchestration. The music program offers private voice, piano, and instrumental lessons as well as larger ensembles and choirs so everyone can be involved. Small class sizes allow for greater teacher-student interaction and training.

Before graduating, all students with an education major must complete a student-teaching internship. This vital opportunity gives them actual classroom teaching experience and a chance to be mentored by and work with experienced master teachers.
