Overview and Qualifications

  • All applications must be submitted to the Admissions Office no later than four weeks before the semester begins.
  • Scholarships and discounts are not applicable to summer school classes or online classes.
  • Completion of the normal admissions process is required before scholarships are awarded.
  • If an applicant chooses one of the monthly payment plans, scholarships and discounts will be applied to each payment equally.
  • Scholarships and discounts are non-transferrable and may not exceed the total amount of tuition for any student.
  • All scholarships and discounts are subject to final approval by the college and are subject to change without notice.

Pastor’s Child Scholarship / Associated Spanish Ministry Pastor’s Child Scholarship

This scholarship program is designated to help the children of senior pastors in or outside the United States to attend Hyles-Anderson College. This scholarship covers 50% of normal tuition costs for up to 18 credits of resident college classes. Class fees, registration fees, and room and board would be the responsibility of each student.

Students may also be eligible to receive the Church-Matching Scholarship; however, no other scholarship may be combined with the Pastor’s Child Scholarship.

Married Student Scholarship

This scholarship program assists married students as they attend Hyles-Anderson College. This scholarship covers 50% of normal tuition costs for up to 18 credits of resident college classes. Class fees and registration fees would be the responsibility of each student.

Students may also be eligible to receive the Church-Matching Scholarship; however, no other scholarship may be combined with the Married Student Scholarship.

Christian Worker’s Child Scholarship

This one-time $1,000 scholarship is designated to help the children of parents who are in full-time Christian service to attend college.

This scholarship may be combined with either the Church Multi-New Student Scholarship or the ACT-For-Excellence Scholarship. Students may also be eligible to receive the Church-Matching Scholarship.

Valedictorian/Salutatorian Scholarship

This scholarship program is designated for a valedictorian or salutatorian of a high school with a minimum graduating class of five. This is a one-time $1,000 scholarship that will be applied to the student’s first year at Hyles-Anderson College.

This scholarship may be combined with either the Church Multi-New Student Scholarship or the ACT-For-Excellence Scholarship. Students may also be eligible to receive the Church-Matching Scholarship.

Church Multi-New Student Scholarship

This one-time $1,000 scholarship is awarded to three or more new/transfer students from the same church who register/transfer the same semester. Church membership verification will be required, and each student must be registered as a full-time student and must be living in the residence halls.

This scholarship may be combined with either the Christian Worker’s Child Scholarship or Valedictorian/Salutatorian Scholarship. Students may also be eligible to receive the Church-Matching Scholarship.

ACT-For-Excellence Scholarship

This one-time scholarship ranging from $500-$1,500 (depending on the student’s ACT score) will be applied to the student’s first year at Hyles-Anderson College. The student must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits to qualify.

This scholarship may be combined with either the Christian Worker’s Child Scholarship or Valedictorian/Salutatorian Scholarship. Students may also be eligible to receive the Church-Matching Scholarship.

Church-Matching Scholarship

Any new or transfer student whose church donates up to $500 to his/her school bill can apply for a matching scholarship from the scholarship fund (based solely on available funds). Each church donation is subject to approval from the Admissions Office and Finance Office as a legitimate church donation. If applicable, this scholarship may be combined with any other scholarship up to the total amount of tuition. The college matching amount will be applied equally to all four billing installments; the amount from the church will be applied to the first billing installment. Each scholarship recipient must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits.

On-Campus Employment

Students may apply for on-campus employment, which is awarded based on availability. These students would be classified as hourly employees of Hyles-Anderson College. An applicant for on-campus employment who submits his/her application by May 15 and is approved will receive a letter of position availability by June 30. An applicant who submits his/her application after May 15 but before July 1 and is approved will receive a letter of position availability by July 15.
